Rough idea

You have a business idea. Next is making it something people can pay for

The next step is not a logo. It is deciding whether the idea can become a priced offer with a reachable customer—and then building the business if it can.

We build operational businesses. Start the Launch Plan — £295 — with an idea, a skill, an interest, or none.

No polished pitch needed · No payment until you choose to book

We pressure-test the idea, strengthen the proposition and set a practical launch path. Weak assumptions get challenged before you spend on the wrong website.

When the direction is approved, we build offer, brand, site, journey and payments—typically 4–6 weeks—so the idea can pursue additional income in the real market.

Joshua sits with you one-to-one because the gap is rarely a spark. It is the sequence after the spark: buyer, price, hours, then a vehicle. You can arrive with a rough thought. Begin the profile when you want that sequence written, then built.

You have a business idea. What next is not a logo, a domain auction, or a company name brainstorm. Next is a commercial sequence: who pays, for what, at what price, how they find you, and whether you can deliver in the hours you have. Most people skip that sequence because cosmetic work feels like progress. It is not. The Launch Plan at £295 is the next step we sell — a 75-minute session and an Opportunity Decision Brief that pressure-tests the idea you already have. If it holds and you continue within 14 days, the operational build is £2,495 with that payment credited. Typical delivery is four to six weeks after you approve. Extra income is the aim. It is not a forecast.

This page assumes a rough idea exists. That is different from a blank page, different from a skills map, and different from validation-as-a-method article. You are asking for the order of work after the spark. We will strengthen the proposition, or redirect onto a direction you can stand behind, before you spend on the wrong website. You still own the idea. We will not pretend a weak one becomes strong because you have already told your friends. Billed in GBP. Founder-led. Formation and tax remain yours.

The next step is commercial, not cosmetic

Logos and domains feel like progress. They are not. Next is: who pays, for what, at what price, and how they buy. Then we build that.

If you also have no idea — that is a different starting point, and we still build

A rough idea is one path. No idea is the other. Both end in the same place if the direction holds: an operational business. Begin your launch profile.

What next after a business idea — the commercial order, not the cosmetic one

Write the buyer narrowly. Write the problem in their words. Write a price. Design the cheapest meaningful test — often conversations or a scoped pilot, not a brand. Then, and only then, build presence and payments. That order saves money. Reversing it is how people end up with a beautiful site and no one to send it to. We run the first half in the Launch Plan so the second half is not a guess.

If you already registered a company, bought a domain, or commissioned a logo, that does not change the order. Those artefacts can wait or be replaced. The idea still has to survive a buyer conversation. We will use what you have if it helps. We will not treat sunk cost as evidence the idea is good. A rough idea is enough to start the profile. A finished deck is often fake.

The next step if the idea is rough rather than finished

Rough is normal. Finished is rare and often fake. We do not need a 20-page deck. We need you to tolerate challenge. Joshua will push on price, hours and first-customer path. That is the product of the session: a direction you can defend. Decoration is not. Begin the profile when you want that challenge attached to a builder, not a cheerleader.

UK extra-income constraints still apply. An idea that only works if you resign next month, when you will not, is not next. An idea that copies your employer is not next. Check contracts separately. We keep the commercial boundaries explicit. Extra income beside employment is a valid next chapter. Burning runway on a vague consultancy is not. Next is a sequence, not a shopping list of logos, domains and company names.

When ‘what next’ means build — and when it means stop

If the brief says the idea holds, next is approval and build: offer, brand, website, journey, payments. Typically four to six weeks. You work directly with Joshua. You operate after launch. We do not take a revenue share and we do not run your sales pipeline. A 30-day support window covers the handoff. First customers are not guaranteed. A business they can buy from is the standard. Decoration is not.

If the brief redirects, next is not a smaller website. Next is a different opportunity we can still name with you. You keep the document. Seven-day cooling-off is a full refund before we meet. Then, if you approve, we build. After that filter, the artefact is a written Opportunity Decision Brief—and a live extra-income vehicle if you continue.

What next is not: courses, formation, or another idea list

Another course on ‘mindset’ does not take a customer. Companies House does not take a customer. A new list of adjacent ideas does not take a customer. If you already have an idea, more catalogues delay the commercial work. We are not a formation agent. We can explain practical setup at a high level. Registration, banking and tax stay with you and your advisers. Courses, formation and another idea list are delays dressed as progress.

If you actually have no idea yet, use the blank-page path—or begin here and we will still develop a direction in session. If you need a method for testing, see how to validate. This page is the sequence after you already have something to test. Same fees, same honesty, different job. UK extra-income constraints still apply after the spark: hours, contract, pounds. Begin the profile when the spark exists and you want the commercial order written, then built.

Who this is for

  • People with a rough idea who do not know how to launch it
  • Founders who have started thinking but not commercialised the offer

What you leave with

A written next step for the idea you already have, from a session with Joshua—then the operational build if you approve.

One-to-one with the founder. Start with an idea — or with none. Typically 4–6 weeks after direction is approved. Income goals are ambitions, not guarantees. We help you build a credible business ready to reach customers—not promise specific earnings.

Common questions

I have a business idea — should I register a company next?

Usually no. Decide the customer and the offer first. Filing is a wrapper. We build the commercial vehicle. Formation, VAT and tax remain yours and your accountant’s. Extra income is not created by a company number. On i have a business idea what next, extra income remains an ambition, not a figure we will attach to this answer.

What is the actual next step you sell?

The Launch Plan: £295, a 75-minute session, an Opportunity Decision Brief. If the idea holds and you continue within 14 days, the full build is £2,495 with that fee credited. Typical delivery four to six weeks after approval. The order is buyer, problem, price, cheapest test, then presence — never the reverse.

What if my idea does not survive the session?

Then we say so in writing and name a commercial next step you can take. You keep the brief. You are not obliged to continue. A redirect is a commercial result. We do not build a website to soothe a weak idea. Joshua will still challenge the case—that is the session, then a build if a direction holds.
