Online business

Start an online business that can take money—not just exist online

An online business that earns needs a commercial offer and a working journey. A pretty site without a buyer, price or payment path is not yet a business.

We build operational businesses. Start the Launch Plan — £295 — with an idea, a skill, an interest, or none.

No polished pitch needed · No payment until you choose to book

We shape what you sell, who it is for, and how they buy online—then build the site, copy and systems to match.

Founder-led, typically 4–6 weeks after direction is approved, aimed at additional income from real customers. You can start with no idea.

An online business is a channel decision. The buyer meets you in a browser, not on a high street and not necessarily in a spare room. That is different from ‘starting a shop’ (retail, a cart, SKUs) and different from ‘from home’ (a place constraint). Online means the presence and the journey live on the web: domain, site, copy a stranger can parse, and a path that can take an enquiry or a payment without you standing next to them. We shape what you sell and who it is for, then we build that channel so it can actually transact. Typical build is four to six weeks after direction is approved. Billed in pounds sterling. No income guarantee.

Most ‘start an online business’ results sell website builders and marketplace accounts. The platform is not the business. A theme with lorem ipsum is not an online business. A social profile with a link in bio and no offer is not an online business. You still need a customer who will pay, a promise you will deliver, and a reason they should not bounce to a cheaper tab. You can start with an idea or with none. We develop or strengthen the opportunity, then we put the online channel live. We do not register companies and we do not give tax advice.

Online is the channel. The business is the offer.

A site without a buyer, a price and a payment path is a brochure. We build an online business that can take money.

Not a get-rich scheme

No crypto, no guaranteed returns. A credible business you can run. Income ambitions remain targets.

An online business is a channel, not a lifestyle slogan

‘Online’ gets used as a dream: laptop, beach, passive. The honest version is a remote buyer and a working journey. They never visit your office. They judge you on the page, the clarity of the offer, and whether checkout or enquiry completes. That is why the channel has to be built as a business, not as a moodboard. We write the commercial offer first, then we design the site around the action you need them to take.

If the honest model is a service delivered on calls, the online business is still the channel—booking or payment happens on the site. If the honest model is a focused product, the channel still needs a reason to buy from you rather than a marketplace. We will say which it is. We will not force a shop onto a service, or a brochure onto a product, because a template looked convenient.

What the online business still needs besides a domain

A domain is a label. The online business needs a buyer you can describe, a price, proof that you are a real operator, and a journey that does not die in a contact form nobody reads. It needs copy that names the problem in the buyer’s language. It needs a way for you to see enquiries and respond. Those are the pieces we build. The Launch Plan is £295; the full operational build is £2,495 if you continue within fourteen days, with the first payment credited.

Tools make domains and pages cheap. They do not make the offer true. AI can draft a homepage in a minute; it cannot tell you whether anyone will pay. That judgement stays with you and with us in the session. Then we ship the online channel. Typically four to six weeks after direction is approved. You operate it. We support go-live. We do not become your community manager or your ads team.

Online business versus a shop, a service, and a brochure

An online shop is retail: cart, catalogue, fulfilment. A service business is delivery of an outcome: often booking rather than a basket. An online business is the parent idea—selling through the web as the channel. If you landed here, we start from that channel and then choose the journey that matches the offer. A brochure site with no path to money is none of those things. It is a PDF in HTML.

We keep one primary journey on the online business. Extra pages that do not convert are delay dressed as range. Marketplace accounts can come later if they serve the offer; day one should not depend on a platform that can close your stall overnight. You own the site we build. Idea or none at the start. Extra income is the aim of the channel. It is not a promised figure.

Starting an online business without a catalogue of SKUs

You do not need two hundred products to be ‘properly online’. Many of the strongest extra-income vehicles are a single packaged service sold through a clean site. If you thought you had to invent a shop to start an online business, we will challenge that. Stock, shipping and returns are a different operating model. We would rather you launch a channel you can run than a catalogue you cannot fulfil.

Arrive with a niche, a skill, or a blank page. The profile captures constraints: hours, employment, what you will not sell. We develop the opportunity, then we build the online business around it as a working channel. We do not file your company. We do not advise on VAT. We build the presence a UK or international buyer can actually use, billed in GBP, founder-led throughout the start. The channel has to work without you standing next to the buyer.

Who this is for

  • People starting a customer-facing online business
  • Those who need the commercial layer as well as the website

What you leave with

An online channel that can take money: a buyer, a priced offer, a site they can use, and a journey that completes—not a pretty URL with nothing behind it.

One-to-one with the founder. Start with an idea — or with none. Typically 4–6 weeks after direction is approved. Income goals are ambitions, not guarantees. We help you build a credible business ready to reach customers—not promise specific earnings.

Common questions

Is an online business the same as an online shop?

No. A shop is retail with a cart. An online business is the channel: the buyer meets you on the web. That channel might be a shop, a service site with booking, or a simple payment page. We choose the journey that matches the offer rather than defaulting to a theme.

Do I need to be technical to start an online business?

You need to own the customer and the promise. We build the site, the copy structure and the primary journey with you. After launch you will still publish updates and answer enquiries. We are not on retainer as your webmaster. Typical build is four to six weeks after direction is approved.

Can I start an online business with no idea?

Yes. We develop the opportunity from your skills, experience or interests, then we build the channel. A generated list of ‘online business ideas’ is not a direction. The Launch Plan produces a decision you can stand behind before you spend the build weeks.
