Burnout

Burnt out and considering a business

Burnout affects energy, concentration and recovery. Starting a business adds decisions and responsibility, so the first question is not how quickly you can launch. It is whether a small, bounded offer can fit without making your health or workload worse.

Treat recovery and business planning as separate needs. Medical or therapeutic support belongs with qualified professionals, and urgent health concerns should come first. If you still want to explore a business, begin with an honest account of the hours and attention available on an ordinary week. A fixed package, limited customer contact and clear turnaround time may be workable; daily content, open-ended support or several services may not be.

The Business Opportunity & Launch Plan costs £295 and includes a profile review, a 75-minute one-to-one session and a written Opportunity Decision Brief. We can compare up to two opportunities, including the option to wait. If you continue within 14 days, the payment is credited towards the £1,895 total Business Build & Launch. The typical 4–6 week build can be paced around your agreed availability. We create the commercial foundations and launch journey, but you remain the operator and income is not guaranteed.

Plan around your current capacity

Use the week you actually have, not the one you hope to have after leaving work. Decide how many hours you can give without losing essential rest, family time or treatment. Then choose an offer that can be completed within that limit. If no safe capacity exists, delaying is a sensible decision rather than a lack of commitment.

Reduce the number of demands

One customer group, one defined result and one route to enquire or pay are enough for a first version. Set response windows and delivery boundaries from the start. This reduces cognitive load and helps customers understand what to expect. Automation may help with routine steps, but it cannot replace your judgement or responsibility.

We develop the idea, the strategy and the website. Begin with a Launch Plan — £295 — from an idea, a skill, an interest, or none.

Choose whether starting supports or harms you

A small project may restore a sense of agency for some people; for others it is another obligation. The decision should be based on capacity, finances and professional health advice where relevant. A full refund is available if you cancel before the day of the session, and there is no requirement to continue into a build.

Who this is for

  • People experiencing low capacity after sustained work pressure
  • Professionals considering a carefully bounded extra-income offer
  • People open to delaying if starting would compromise recovery

What this means for you

A clear decision to start small, delay, or choose another route based on your present capacity.

Common questions

Will starting a business help my burnout?

It is not a treatment and may add pressure. Seek appropriate health support and only consider a business if a small, bounded commitment fits your present capacity.

Can you run the business for me while I recover?

No. We plan and build the agreed commercial foundations and provide launch guidance, but you remain responsible for customers, delivery and ongoing operation.
