No polished pitch needed · No payment until you choose to book
Quitting is a calendar event. Starting is a commercial event. Mixing them is how people fund a website with redundancy money and no buyer. We treat the salary as a design asset: it buys time to choose an offer you can stand behind. Then we build the operational business. Then you decide whether the job still fits.
Career-change language is adjacent and different: that page is the mid-career pivot from experience. This page is the resignation decision itself. Redundancy is involuntary. This search is a choice, even when it feels like an escape.
Business Opportunity & Launch Plan is £295: profile, 75-minute session, Opportunity Decision Brief. Continue within 14 days and that payment is credited toward £2,495 total. Typical 4–6 weeks after you approve direction. Extra income is the aim. Matching your salary in month one is not a promise we will make.
Check garden leave, notice, and non-compete language. We will not interpret them. We will not use your employer’s materials.
Notice periods exist so organisations can replace you. Use them as build time if you already resigned. Do not spend the notice decorating a brand. Spend it getting a journey that can complete. If you have not resigned, do not serve notice to ‘feel committed’. Commitment is a priced offer, not a letter.
Partners, mortgages and notice pay all change the risk. Bring those constraints to the profile. We design an extra-income vehicle that can exist beside the job, then you decide the diary. The Launch Plan does not replace a household conversation. It gives it a live offer to talk about.
Garden leave is not a marketing sprint by default. Some contracts block contacting clients. Assume the block until an adviser says otherwise. We will not build a pipeline that depends on poaching.
If the job is merely boring rather than over, you may not need to quit at all. Extra income beside employment is the quieter path and the one most clients should take first. Use the resignation URL only when the diary, not the mood, requires it. Mood is a bad project manager. Diary is a better one. A resignation letter is a calendar event we will not treat as a marketing milestone.
People also quit because a bonus cycle just paid and the account looks brave. A bonus is not a customer. Cooling-off exists so you can begin the Launch Plan when you still want the vehicle after the money feels ordinary again. If the bonus is earmarked for a holiday or a repair, we still start from the profile when you are ready.
If HR has already accepted your notice, say the last working day in the profile. Scope then becomes a triage: what can go live before payroll stops, and what must wait. We will cut the artefact rather than invent a fantasy calendar that matches LinkedIn. LinkedIn is not a buyer.
Resign after a stranger can pay, not after a mood
A LinkedIn announcement is not a customer. A tested enquiry or payment path is. If you cannot take a yes, you do not yet have a business to quit into. We build the path. You still deliver the work.
People quit on a Friday because the week was ugly. Ugly weeks are data about the job. They are not a market. The market is a buyer we can name in the brief.
The runway myth that makes people quit on a Friday
Savings feel like courage. They are a countdown. Countdowns make people accept weak offers because the alternative is going back. Keep the salary until the vehicle can take demand. If you already quit, say so in the profile—the work is then faster and the risk is already live.
We would rather you keep a job you dislike for eight more weeks than launch a mushy consultancy nobody can buy.
Salary is a design constraint, not a prison
Hours, energy, and what you must not copy from the employer all shape the offer. We scope to the week you have now, then we discuss what changes if you leave. The offer should still work if you stay—that is extra income done properly.
If the model needs more hours than you have, we reshape it in the session: a smaller artefact, a clearer package, a journey you can actually run. That is the work we started the company to do.
What quitting still will not buy you
It will not buy a guaranteed pipeline, a visa, or an identity that feels finished. It will not make formation the same as a launch. It will not make us your staff.
You pay for direction, then—if you continue—the operational build. You operate after go-live. Seven-day cooling-off before we meet.
Notice periods are build time, not a branding holiday
People treat notice as a sabbatical for logos. Logos do not take payment. If you are on notice, say so in the profile. We will cut scope to what can go live before the salary stops, and sequence the rest.
If you are not on notice, we will design as if the salary continues. That is the safer default. Quitting remains your calendar, not our milestone.
Handing in notice to ‘feel committed’ is theatre
Burning the boat does not create a harbour. It creates a countdown. Countdowns make people accept weak promises. We would rather you feel slightly too cautious and ship a real extra-income offer than feel brave and broke.
If you already handed in notice in anger, say so. The work is then triage: smallest live vehicle, honest hours, no hero narrative. Anger spends on identity. Triage spends on a journey that can complete before the last payday.
Who this is for
- Employed people who want to leave but will not resign into a blank page
- Those who already handed in notice and still need a real offer, not a logo
What you leave with
A leave-when-ready plan: live extra-income offer first, resignation when the diary needs it—built one-to-one from your starting point.
One-to-one with the founder. Start with an idea — or with none. Typically 4–6 weeks after direction is approved. Income goals are ambitions, not guarantees. We help you build a credible business ready to reach customers—not promise specific earnings.
Common questions
Do I have to quit before I start with you?
No. Most people stay employed while we decide and, often, while we build. Quit when the diary requires it—not as a motivational stunt.
Will the business replace my salary?
We do not promise that. Extra income is the aim. Replacement is a later, earned outcome. Anyone who guarantees it is selling a feeling.
Can you time the build to my last day at work?
We can cut scope to the diary you actually have. We will not promise a go-live date that matches a resignation letter. Typical work is four to six weeks after you approve direction.
