Enough to quit

Make enough to quit your job by testing the business before the timing

‘Enough’ depends on household costs, savings, benefits and tolerance for uncertainty. It is not a feature that can be set at launch. First prove that a customer will pay, then use real results to decide whether leaving is responsible.

Work out the private financial threshold with anyone who shares your commitments and with qualified advisers where appropriate. Include tax, pension, leave, business costs and a sensible buffer. Do not turn that number into the customer proposition. The offer should solve one useful problem at a sustainable price. Test it alongside employment if possible, then compare actual demand and delivery effort with the time available.

For £295, the Business Opportunity & Launch Plan reviews your profile, develops or compares up to two opportunities in a 75-minute session and provides an Opportunity Decision Brief. If you continue within 14 days, the payment is credited towards the £1,895 total Business Build & Launch, generally 4–6 weeks after approval. We can build the offer, brand, website and core customer journey. We do not calculate your quit figure, advise on resignation or promise income.

Set a private evidence threshold

Choose measures that matter to the decision: repeated sales, retained profit after costs, a stable enquiry pattern, delivery capacity and an adequate household buffer. Decide how long you need to observe them. This creates a more responsible trigger than leaving after one encouraging month.

Test whether the offer fits beside work

An offer that can only be tested after resignation carries more risk. Where possible, narrow the package so it can be sold and delivered within controlled hours. Check employment restrictions and keep all information separate. If the model truly requires full-time commitment before evidence, acknowledge that clearly in the decision.

We develop the idea, the strategy and the website. Begin with a Launch Plan — £295 — from an idea, a skill, an interest, or none.

Make quitting a later, separate decision

Once results exist, review them with your household and relevant advisers. You may keep the business as additional income, seek reduced hours or prepare to leave. None of those outcomes should be assumed at the planning stage. Our role is to create a credible business path, not to set your resignation date.

Who this is for

  • Employed people with a defined household threshold for leaving
  • People prepared to gather demand evidence before resigning
  • Households that want a measured timing decision

What this means for you

A tested business offer and a clear evidence threshold for a separate household decision about quitting.

Common questions

Can you calculate how much I need before quitting?

No. That requires personal financial, tax and household analysis. We focus on the offer and customer journey; use qualified advisers for the financial threshold.

Does completing the Launch Plan mean I am ready to resign?

No. The Launch Plan provides a commercial direction, not revenue evidence. A resignation decision should follow actual results and a separate review of your circumstances.
